Nightlife at The Goodwin: Porrón & Piña
You don’t actually even need to leave our boutique downtown Hartford hotel to enjoy some ace nightlife: We host one of the city’s wining and dining hotspots in Restaurant Porrón and Bar Piña. Tuck into fantastic Spanish-inspired fare, as well as a crowd-pleasing spread of fine wines, artisan cocktails, and craft beer, all while enjoying the topnotch atmosphere.
And amid the early nightfalls of winter, there’s nothing like taking advantage of our dining establishment’s Monday-through-Friday happy hour (5 to 6:30 PM at Restaurant Porrón, 4 to 7 PM at Bar Piña)! Don’t forget, they have live Jazz music every Saturday night, so swing by!

We definitely urge you to sample the charms of Porrón and Piña, but you’ve also got other options for bar-hopping your way around Hartford. The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts
There’s invariably something amazing—and likely multiple amazing things—coming down the pike at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, one of the premier venues for live music, theater, and other onstage entertainment in Hartford. Upcoming events include the Travelers Chorale on December 6th, with a 90-plus-strong chorus and the Manchester Symphony Orchestra presenting holiday music; the Nutmeg Ballet’s Nutcracker December 8th and 9th; the Hartford Symphony presenting Leslie Odom, Jr. in Concert on December 8th; and the smash-hit musical Hamilton December 11th through the 30th.
Hartford Stage
Another iconic local performance venue, Hartford Stage is currently presenting some signature holiday entertainment in the form of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, through December 29th.
Infinity Hall
Combine great eats and drinks with intimate performances at Infinity Hall. Shows just around the corner at this popular venue include Christmas with the Celts on December 6th, Laurel Canyon – Acoustic Tribute to CSNY (with Mark Hudson, Gary Burr, and Mark Mirando), and Kashmir – The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Tribute Band on December 8th.
